Formed in São Paulo in 1997 and based in Berlin, PETDuo are Anne Gelfei and David Elie Merlino, a pioneering force in hard techno and schranz.

With a four-deck performance built on relentless layering, sharp cuts and raw energy, they transform individual tracks into a powerful, continuously evolving sound.

Their journey has taken them from the underground to stages including Love Parade, Time Warp, Awakenings, Tomorrowland and Monegros. Beyond the DJ booth, they run Cause Records, their independent label dedicated to hard techno and schranz since 2008.

Since 1997, PETDuo have continued to push their sound forward without losing the underground spirit that shaped it.

PETDuo are Anne Gelfei and David Elie Merlino, partners in life and music, and a pioneering force in hard techno and schranz. Formed in São Paulo and based in Berlin, the duo have been developing a sound defined by raw intensity, rhythmic precision and an uncompromising underground identity since 1997.

Their signature four-deck performance goes beyond conventional DJ mixing. Through relentless layering, sharp cuts and live reconstruction, Anne and David transform individual tracks into a continuous, high-energy experience. It is an approach shaped by decades behind the decks, yet constantly evolving with the music.

Their journey has taken them from underground dance floors to major international events, including Love Parade, Time Warp, Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Defqon.1, Monegros and Nature One. More recent appearances at DGTL, Rave The Planet, Verknipt and MAYDAY Poland reflect their continued presence across generations of electronic music culture.

Beyond their performances, PETDuo have built an extensive production and remix catalogue. Together with Miss Djax, they formed PET Trio and released the schranz classic "Dance or Die". Their work includes remixes for The Horrorist, Mario Ranieri and D.A.V.E. The Drummer's "One Night in Hackney", while their own productions have been reinterpreted by artists including Svetec and Boris S.

Since 2008, their independent label Cause Records has served as an extension of their artistic vision, releasing hard techno and schranz while supporting established and emerging producers.

Since 1997, PETDuo have remained driven by the same principle: machine music with heart and soul.
